M2-Kodit set out to refresh their brand identity with the goal of increasing brand awareness. With the rental housing market being in an exceptionally challenging situation and competition rapidly increasing throughout the industry, visibility and relevance have become more important than ever. M2-Kodit aimed to strengthen their position as a unique challenger in the field, and our goal was to provide them with a truly impactful way to increase visibility and reinforce that position, while taking into account their operating environment as a non-profit organization.

The new identity of M2-Kodit centres around a promise of always aiming to give more to the tenants than a regular rental company, positioning itself as a unique and bold operator. We embraced that daringness. We wondered how we could make the 3D element “M2-mahku” a core part of the customer journey, and to bring it to life in as many touchpoints as possible. Whether it’s a TV campaign, an installation piece, or a gifted decorative pillow, Mahku should be a tangible and constant reminder of the brand’s friendliness.

Knowing the circumstances and urgency, we reinvented the whole process of video production and ditched the traditional approach to save time without sacrificing our quality standards. The new agile workflow blended layered video and SFX with advanced AI tools. This delivered a quicker and lighter, yet controlled environment for creating big impact in a cost-efficient manner. As a result, the process made multiplying the idea seamlessly into multiple channels and medias smooth – and repeatable, offering a solid framework for all future content production.

Backed by a new radio concept, the identity launch provided a strong jump-start to brand awareness work, and the campaign was widely recognised and well received. In addition, we at 358 gained a crucial new way of working, specifically designed for today’s needs. What an honour to stand with M2-Kodit at the start of their next decade – we can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us next!
